I had the privilege of marching in the Palm Springs Gay Pride Parade today. It was the first time I ever marched. I held the banner to the Desert Aids Project Banner with a couple of guys. I had a blast. It got me thinking about the first time I went to a Gay Pride Festival back in the late 80's. It changed my life. There were so many people like me and many more that weren't but didn't care. It changed my life. I came out of the "closet" the next weekend. Yes, I told my cat. It was a start.
